White Eyes

Fear rots you

The shell of your existence shakes

I can see you fear me

You can see my ugly past

Of fallen habits of the night

Of a shattered heart

Still bleeding from its wound

A gaping, bloody hole

I have been broken before

Can you see my bones?

Shattered and splintered

Broken by foolish trust

They push past fragile skin

White skin turned burning crimson

Stained by metallic hate

I am the monster in your dreams

The kiss you dread,

The kiss you long for

Your eyes are white with fear

As I reach out to you in love

My hands are bloody and cold

You can see my open soul

Still scarred by betrayal

My voice is lower than a whisper

Higher than a scream

Something was ripped from me

My missing piece, my love

You hold it now

Encased within trembling hands

I have lived too long without it

I cannot wait much longer

Please, end it; drop it now

Or give it back to me

I am the monster in your dreams

The kiss you dread,

The kiss you long for
