A Day of Light

In the days of quiet rain
I see the tears on your heart
Dripping down, heavy with sorrow
Ripples in the ocean of your soul

In the days of darkening skies
I see the memories within your heart
Dark, and fresh with swelling grief
Drops of the words I spoke to you

In the days of silent storms
I see the pain you have drowned
Illuminated by sparks of fear
Fear of losing another to the rain

Oh, my Father, give us a day
A day without rain and storms
Oh, my Father, give us a day
A day of Your light

I love you so much, Eric. I can't express the sorrow I feel for your loss. I hope you find true happiness soon.
