spewed effortlessly

from lips of fake smiles

and trivial laughter.

Words of comfort and

overused greetings

that don’t mean a thing.

It’s kind of sickening.

Words of no meaning

at all, just fancy

talk. Not needed but

utterly necessary.

That’s how they speak. That’s

how they understand.

Don’t try to explain,

since you’re one of them anyway.
